Hello Meghan:

Thank you for taking the time to share your complimentary comments with McDonald's. It's a rare person who takes the time to compliment. Thank you for being that person!

Every McDonald's restaurant employee is trained to provide our customers with the best-possible restaurant experience. This includes providing fast, accurate and friendly service, and serving outstanding food quality in a clean and pleasant restaurant environment.

Please be assured that your nice comments will be shared with the franchise owner and restaurant team of the McDonald's you mentioned. I know they'll appreciate the time you took to share your comments with us.

Again, Meghan, we know you have many choices when making your dining-out decisions, and we truly appreciate your choosing McDonald's. We look forward to serving you again soon under the Golden Arches.

I visited the 16th St McDonald's last night, and I was especially impressed by a woman at the cash register, named Manuela. There were four EXTREMELY rude people in front of me, and they treated Manuela horribly. Manuela had done nothing wrong, and in fact, was bending backwards to accommodate these people.

(One man was giving her trouble because the fruit didn't look fresh - it was fine, and had quite some time to go before it expired. Three girls were complaining about salt on their fries, and demanded their money back, and were just looking to start something.)

Throughout all of the harassment, Manuela was professional and courteous. When the girls left, they called her a bitch. So not appropriate. But, instead of lashing back, Manuela wished them a good night.

I hope that Manuela is recognized/rewarded for her professionalism and grace under difficult work conditions. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Sincerely,

Meghan J - Silver Spring, MD
